1/4 tsp Ground ginger

1 tsp Garlic powder

1 tsp Onion powder

2 tsp Salt

1 tsp Pepper

1 tsp Thyme

Sauce

1/4 c brown sugar

1/2 c maple syrup

1/4 c bbq sauce

1/2 onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, diced

300 for 3 hours

  1. Season the meat for about 8 hours with the dry rub.
  2. Preheat oven to 300
  3. Place seasoned short ribs in a glass baking dish coated with cooking spray, and allow to come to room temperature
  4. Meanwhile combine the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl
  5. Lightly drizzle the meat with evoo
  6. Pour 1/2 the sauce mixture over the ribs coating both sides evenly
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 3 hours, turning after 1 1/2 hours
  8. Remove the foil turn the ribs again and add the remaining sauce
  9. Cook for 45 minutes more

Note: depending on the cut/quality of short ribs you buy, you might require less or more cooking time. After the 3 hours test the tenderness of the meat with a fork.
